Bugatti TypeZero Single-Seater Concept Envisioned -- World Car Fans

A futuristic Type 35 French designer Marc Devauze is imagining a futuristic single-seater Bugatti based on the firm's successful racecars. He used as inspiration the 1920s' Type 35 - Bugatti's most successful racecar ever – for this study of a single-seater electric hypercar featuring four in-wheel electric motors. It's envisioned as having detachable lithium-air batteries installed on either side of the driver.

Oldest Surviving Ford Bought By A Ford Descendent

Turns out that Bill Ford, Jr. is something of a man of mystery. The Executive Chairman of the Ford Motor Company has been revealed as the high bidder for the oldest-known surviving Ford automobile, which was sold at an RM Auction Hershey, Penn., in October for $264,000. The identity of the buyer had previously been kept under wraps. The 1903 Ford Model A Rear Entry Tonneau is believed to be the third car produced under the auspices of the newly-formed company and was sold on July 19th of that year to Iowa butter maker Herbert L. McNary. McNary handed over $1,350 for all three of the cars that day, which represented the full price of $850 for one plus down payments others. It was a welcome injection of funds for the fledgling automaker, which only had $250 cash on hand at the time and was in dire straits.

Mario Balotelli believes he is public enemy number one with his constant battles on and off the pitch at Manchester City FC. So it is fitting that the Italian striker has had his £160,000 Bentley Continental GT vinyl wrapped in army camouflage. The 22-year-old is not normally one to try and blend in and although his motor was cloaked, it actually attracted more attention. After Mario pulled up and parked his flashy vehicle at the Carrington complex, plenty of backroom staff and even some players approached it for a closer look.

Volvo Develops The 'No Death' Car: Vehicles Which Drive Themselves And Are Totally Crashproof Could Be On British Roads In Eight Years -- Daily Mail

* Firm claims 'nobody will be killed or injured in a new Volvo by 2020'

Car giant Volvo is developing 'no death' cars that drive themselves and are impossible to crash – ready for launch in showrooms within eight years. The computerised vehicles will be fitted with high-tech sensors and will 'refuse to be steered' into other objects. Volvo says they will be on sale to customers by 2020, but that some of the life-saving technology will be incorporated into its vehicles even earlier – from 2014 – it says.

It is one of the world's fastest supercars, with a 252mph top speed that leaves rivals trailing in its wake. And now Italian car manufacturer Bugatti has revealed the science behind the Veyron's astonishing top speed by covering the car in the sums used to power it. Conceptual artist Bernar Venet was asked by Bugatti to create his own design for the £1.5million Grand Sport model.
